Nairobi has an excellent choice of Five Class hotels and also smaller boutique style hotel accommodation, furnished apartments and guest houses. Large hotel chains include the Intercontinental , Hilton , Holiday Inn , Serena , Fairmont etc.
These hotels are equal in standard to those found all over the world; expect to have access to all the usual amenities and also real Kenyan warmth and hospitality. The smaller guest houses and cottages are also well worth investigating; some have historical and stylish African charm which will make your stay unique and memorable.

Tented Camps
Staying in a Kenyan tented camp is nothing like camping: this is 5 star luxury in the wild! Your tent will have everything that you would expect in a “proper” hotel or lodge including a bathroom with flush toilet, a shower and wash facilities.
Sitting on your veranda looking out to the open savanna, it’s easy to connect with the natural environment all around. Tented camps are perfect for experiencing the African bush in comfort, and the camps tend to be small – with between 4 to 30 tents. You can expect to find a pool, restaurant, bar, attentive service and great food.

Kenyan guesthouses are less common to find than the large glitzy hotels that are popular with many visitors. They are there though, and often provide a cheaper alternative to the larger places that have more amenities. Guesthouses tend to be smaller and less expensive than larger hotels. They also may offer a more personal service because of their size. They usually offer a less expensive alternative for those wanting a quieter time with a more personal touch.
