The Lord Errol, Gourmet Restauarnt

le-topNamed after Lord Erroll, who was the central figure in “White Mischief” scandal in the 1930’s, this up-market restaurant captures some of the elegance of the colonial upper classes of that era.

Beautifully manicured gardens with a pair of resident crested cranes standing, regally nearby, encapsulates a feeling of serene elegance and grandure. Water features add to the tranquil environment, where champagne and after dinner liqueurs seem to fit.

The restaurant is located within the Runda housing estate and has been lovingly furnished with soft lighting and a comfortable lounge which is perfect for a before or after dinner drink.
Although The Lord Erroll is a little out of the way for some, the quality of food and service, added to it’s proximity to the Village Market and the United Nations make The Lord Errol a very popular venue for informal and formal dining, weddings and corporate functions.
The walls of The Lord Erroll are adorned with original paintings from local artists, and a wide open terrace around the restaurant allow diners to enjoy the full the mellow evenings and views of the garden. There are several dining rooms in addition to this main dining terrace, which can be booked privately for groups as small as six and as large as eighty.

The menu at The Lord Errol is French gourmet cuisine mixed with a variety of international dishes and some delicious desserts. The menu is mouthwatering with exotic and traditional dishes designed to cater for all palletes: A typical meal might be the Deep-fried Camembert with a tangy Cranberry and Portwine Sauce, followed by Spicy Jumbo Prawns sautéed in Garlic, Coriander, Chillies and Turmeric Butter Sauce with the Mille Feuilles Amandine aux Framboises for desert! A good selection of vegetarian options are available. This is gourmet food which is presented beautifully.
