Lukenya Motorcross & Quadbikes

Screen Shot 2015-02-05 at 09.58.10Lukenya Motorcross are located just outside Nairobi and offer quad biking, and motorbike off-road adventures through various terrains.

The sessions last for 60 minutes, which should get your adrenaline-pumping as you take the 250cc or 90cc Honda all-terrain vehicles through the cross-country nature trails. The centre offers a full safety briefing at the beginning of your session and crash helmets, boots and overalls are all provided as part of the package. No experience is necessary and at the beginning of the session you’ll be shown the basic bike skills. You’ll then be let loose for a full 60 minutes of fun. Beginners will initially have a chance to practice on a farmland trail. As your confidence grows you’ll be given more adventurous challenges and have a chance to try out the the woodland trails where you can develop more advanced technical skills such as racing and stunts.

Training is provided by qualified staff who can cater for all levels of ability. Beginners and more experienced riders have plenty of opportunity to enjoy being in the great outdoors where they can tackle various terrains in this fantastic sport.

The minimum age 14 years and a maximum of 6 bikes are allowed at any one time. Under 16’s must be accompanied by a participating adult.

Directions: Lukenya is about an hours drive from Nairobi (depending on the traffic and which side of Nairobi you’re coming from). Drive along the Mombasa Road through Athi River. A few km after Athi River start looking out for signs to Daystar University. Lukenya is about 5km off the main road on the left side of the road. (see small map in photos for details)
