Nicky Thairu is the Nichibo Cars representative in Kenya (a Japanese Company) .
He is Kenyan, born and bred; however, he initially studied engineering at a Japanese University, and then continued living in Japan for another 12 years after this.
Nicky speaks fluent Japanese and also writes Japanese to a business standard. This makes him an ideal person to deal with importing cars from Japan through his kenyan-Japanese knowledge and his strong engineering and academic background.
Nicky has picked up many Japanese traits; he’s gentle, polite and keen to do the best that he can for his clients who come to use his skills. He has direct links with his Japanese head office, together with other African Offices who are all part of the Nichibo network, dealing with the importation of cars from Japan to their clients doorstep, here in Kenya. Other branches of the Nichibo Cars network are found in; Papua New Guinea, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Uganda, Zimbabwe and more)
Nicky and his small team import on average between 40 to 80 vehicles to Kenya each month, and through his direct links with Japan , Mombasa and Nairobi, he ensures that the paperwork is spotless and that the vehicle you choose to buy is exactly what you want at the very best price available. Nicky is experienced and knowledgable in the Japanese car trade, and he is also very easy to deal with.
Nichibo Cars always believe that the clients convenience and peace of mind is of paramount importance in the buying process. For clients who are too busy to come to the office, Nichibo Cars can send a driver over to pick up the necessary paperwork, deal with all the issues relating to the importation, and the first time the client may meet with Nicky is when he delivers the car to the clients home. Of course face to face contact is also important for some, so for those who would prefer to meet and have closer contact with the sale, Nicky and his team are very approachable and are happy to lead you through the process in a more personal way.
